Our first real
view of Marcy came from
little Marcy,
1 mile to go, what the picture doesn't show is the top is all rock. The
climb gets steep at times and great care has to be taken. The plant life
is very fragile here with some very rare plant life.
Views from up top,
it makes it all worth while !! The only people you see up there are those
who earned the right to be there no roads or tour bus here. There is always
a mountain Steward from the Ranger Station to help out, answer questions etc...
what a job. Tough day
at the office.
The vistas are 360
degrees quite awe inspiring. Even before leaving you begin to plan your next
trip here. I hope to return in October to catch the fall foliage "no
black flies or mosquitoes in the fall".
This truly made me
realize how small mountains in Connecticut are, local hikes will have a new
perspective I guess.
Resting,
reflecting just sucking it up
truly awesome !!!

age 13, his first backpack adventure, this one will be hard to top.
